The Pan Dei Palais is the oldest hotel in Saint Tropez, steeped in noble history. It was the home of General Allard upon returning from India. He had lived there for many years with his wife, Bannou Pan Deï, a princess of a great dynasty from Chamba.
The restaurant is the wing where the Allard story resonates the most. The Tree of Life on the white walls ushers in a taste of India. Animals peer out at the diners from its branches, while its crimson flowers are reflected in the velvet furniture.
In the evening, candles light up the tree. The romantic, subdued lighting extends out to the swimming pool, creating an air of the Punjab.
